H.J. Hawksfield

Jamie Hawksfield was Educated at Marlborough College 1966 – 1970 and the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester 1971 – 1974. He spent six years practicing as a chartered surveyor, qualifying as a land agent. Leaving the profession in 1983, he started his own video business and in 1986 founded Equestrian Vision with Alastair Martin-Bird.

Martin Bird Production was set up shortly thereafter and Hawksfield and Martin-Bird set up the holding company Henry Gordon Holdings Ltd. This company owns the trading names MBPTV, Equestrian Vision, Race Vision and EV Events.

Over the next twenty-three years, the business became the successful production and distribution company it is now.

Mr Hawksfield's duties in the company include oversight of the finances of the group, producing certain programming for MBPTV (especially on eventing and racing subjects), and running Equestrian Vision and EV Events. Equestrian Vision is the most established DVD label in the equestrian market and EV Events runs the World of the Horse, the exhibition pavilion found at major three day events in the United Kingdom such as Badminton and Burghley.

MBPTV is the television coordinators for the FEI, produces the FEI Equestrian World monthly magazine programme and is widely acclaimed as the most experienced production company in the equestrian field.

Hobbies include riding and Jamie was a keen amateur steeplechase jockey from 1972 – 2002. Now a Joint Master of the Crawley and Horsham Foxhounds, he is heavily involved in all matters to do with the hunt.

Mr. Hawksfield is married and has two children and is a keen golfer and tennis player.
